what happened? I was on their website, making a design, I then wanted to go premium for a month ONLY, for 5 dollars, but I did not see that it was automatically on the button where it took for a whole year 59 dollars. So poor service I admit that it's me who made the mistake to start with. This is clearly unfair trading and don't let them continue with this practice. But I didn't need to reach out to my bank as the company refunded me. In that case you can bring the situation to your bank to potentially open a dispute. Insist on their final word and formal refusal for the refund. You need to clearly state how much refund you expect. In case of misleading sales you are entitled to a refund under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (UK). The purchase dialog is misleading (monthly price is highlighted and gives the wrong impression that this is the charge you are going to have), also there is no confirmation step before they charge you. This experience falls under misleading sales case. They refused at first saying that their refund policy doesn't allow this. When I realised my mistake I dropped a message to their support to ask for refund and switch me to a monthly plan instead. I had the same issue as some of you here: I accidentally purchased yearly subscription instead of monthly as the dialog was confusing. I'd like a refund, but mostly I am concerned with the dishonest and unfair business practices. It's best to just avoid doing business with Planner 5D and pick a product from a more consumer centric and reputable company. It relies on its location, Lithuania, to shield it from local court jurisdiction. I have disputed the charge with PayPal, but this is a dishonest company. I reached out the same day and requested a refund, as well as cancellation of my account so it wouldn't happen again. Rather than billing me or notifying me of an upcoming renewal, the company charged my PayPal account without authorization. I purchased a year subscription and held onto my receipt, which stated that I would be billed yearly. That being said, its operating strategy is designed around extracting unauthorized funds from your credit card. My limited use case was met, but I don't think I would recommend it against better alternatives.
